6/17/22 i changed my site name to korova, and i plan on making it permanent this time. i really like it! i always believed it to be the nadsat word that stood out the most in a clockwork orange, even though it's russian for cow. i have some stuff i wanna talk about here, but it's 12:53 am and i'm pretty sleepy snzzzzzzz

6/7/22 i had to create something for my art appreciation class, and came up with this... it was inspired by elizabeth murray. it's supposed to reflect my own personal anxieties, hopefully you can see that... it's a personal piece, but at the same time, i'm really pleased with how it turned out :-)

5/20/22 GREAT NEWS, EVERYBODY... i received my twin's franz ferdinand collection thanks to the age old trade of bartering! it's every album on vinyl AND cd as well as their concert dvd ;o; it's my first complete collection, aside from owning every muse album on cd, which pales in comparison to THIS collection... i'm so happy!!! :-)

5/14/22 we went to our local comic con today, it was a lot of fun! i got some cool merch, and there was a guy there who sold movie-influenced prints that look like record sleeves :-0 what's even cooler is that there were rik mayall ones! it always amazes me to meet fans of rik mayall, especially since he's british and usually britcoms don't get too popular in america, especially the older ones (yes, especially twice). so i got prints of the young ones and drop dead fred! my mom also got me a poster of re-animator that came framed and i love it :-) she got to meet skeet ulrich, which is really cool! rose got three one piece figures, two of which are sabo, her flavor of the month haha. but they're so neat, i love the ace that matches one of the sabo figures she got ;o; we also met a lady who had a FOZZIE BEAR that looked SO accurate, like it was straight out of the muppet vault. or wherever they keep them. when i got a picture with him, i accidentally ate a little bit of his fur. but that's alright! it's been a 10/10 day! :-)

4/21/22 i don't really draw too much anymore, just mostly doodling every now and then. i can't even remember the last time i drew traditionally, i just use procreate whenever i feel like it. i usually don't like anything i draw either lol. but i doodled this orel and i thought it turned out pretty cute! 4/19/22 rose and i started watching moral orel on sunday and finished it yesterday, and wow, it sure was a great show! i knew things took a turn at some point in the series, but watching it all unfold is just like... oh god, oh no... some episodes were emotionally intense. especially the back story and everything for nurse bendy, but i'm glad she got a good ending. it's kind of unfortunate that the only character that had in-depth "development" was clay, because he was such a horrible guy, and though he was interesting, he's beyond redemption so it's hard to care... though it was intriguing to see why he acts the way he does, but that took over the course of seasons two and three, whereas most characters were at the forefront for only an episode or two at the tail end of the show. but overall, moral orel was a fantastic watch. there's something about shows that try to carefully dissect its characters that are far more entertaining and interesting than whatever else can go on within said show. i want to watch it again now that i know everything that happens, so i'll be more attuned to the happenings and understand some aspects better.

4/16/22 i've abandoned all my social medias and softblocked all mutuals, and i feel kinda bad for doing it out of the blue. i knew if i said something and got responses, i would have felt bad and want to stay... i can't do that anymore. at least i have them all on discord if they ever want to talk... some of them i've known for the better half of a decade so i will miss them a lot, but social media is the worst part of my life that i can get rid of

4/16/22 last night, i dreamt i met damian kulash, and right after he introducted himself as "damian kulash from ok go, one of the greatest bands ever" i woke up! >o< so unfair...

4/11/22 i got my first covid booster today! also my mom said i look like a kewpie because of my round head lol

4/7/22 i want to try to make more of an effort to not use social media anymore... every now and then i go back because my mutuals for years are there, but it's just such a bad habit to get back into... besides i can do whatever i want with my website creativity-wise, whereas there's no customization on really any social media. plus i'm in complete control of my website, this is my domain where i can post what i want. i hate the censorship and stigma of social media. i love the freedom of having a personal website!

4/7/22 i tried tie-dye for the first time ever today, decidedly dyeing the ok go shirts my twin bought me :-) i think they turned out great! they only had xl available so i cut off a bit of the hems of the shirts. lotsa fun!

4/6/22 my jeffrey combs autograph arrived! i love it so much! ^^

3/10/22 rose really had the audacity to reignite my franz ferdinand phase... i haven't listened to them in probably around ten years and even then it was still rather casually. i really love stand on the horizon, it makes me feel a way i haven't in a long time. i can't really place what emotion it is, but i know it's positive. it's a really good feeling.

2/14/22 i suppose i'm doing alright today. yesterday we went to a record shop and i got some cool 45s including antmusic by adam ant...! i also got animal farm and started reading it. today, i decided to try to start recognizing when something is making me upset and stepping away from it. so i started watching youtube videos and drawing. it kinda helped. tomorrow i'm gonna call and see if i can get a psych eval. here's one of the fruits of my labor from today, neo holding up his middle finger a la the matrix (click for full resolution).
